You can check the version you have by selecting About S-PLUS from the Help menu in S-PLUS. Information on the previous release is also available.

Getting Started

Before you start using S-PLUS, we suggest reading the Getting Started Guide. For new users, it includes a step-by-step tutorial on reading, visualizing and analyzing data in S-PLUS, and for long-time S-PLUS users it describes features new to S-PLUS 6. The Getting Started Guide was included with your copy of S-PLUS, and can be found in the Help > Online Manuals menu.

The new features in S-PLUS 6.2 for Windows improve upon S-PLUS 6.1 in three main areas: native drivers, verbose logging, and XML generation and reporting. There are also a number of enhancements to existing functions.

S-PLUS 6.2 Update is available. This update will change S-PLUS 6.2 (Rev Date: 2 Dec 2003) to S-PLUS 6.2 (Rev Date: 12 Jan 2004). Do not use this update with the latest release, S-PLUS 7.0.
